All Natural Birth Control | Safe And 100% Effective

all natural birth control

When I was fifteen I started having internal bleeding, after an emergency visit to the hospital, lots of tests, blood work and puzzled looks… the doctors recommended that I go on the birth control pill. They felt that the internal bleeding was caused by a hormonal imbalance.

Now thinking about that and knowing what the issue was.. that sounds so absurd.

In case you don’t know, being on a birth control pills doesn’t come without it’s danger and uncomfortable moments. For example the yearly pap smears, which for a girl who believed in abstinence was really very uncomfortable and quite painful. I would always get very emotionally worked up prior and nearly faint by the time I left, so I could never go alone.

It wasn’t until I got married in 2008, 6 years later that I learned the dangers of being on birth control long term. After getting my yearly pap, I received a letter in the mail saying their was suspicious cancer like cells found in my blood work. The letter said their was no cause for concern and that they would just need to keep an eye on it. At this time I didn’t know of a natural birth control, so I just prayed and refused to believe that I could have cancer. It was only a few months later when we moved to North Carolina and then later to Newport News, VA. It was at this point that the headaches and hair loss really started to become prominent. I had daily headaches and I was starting to bald in the back. My hair is naturally thin, but this was scary thin – you could see my scalp. Even Josh said it was looking very thin. So now I had to find something else. My prescription was almost up, I hadn’t found  a new gynecologist and frankly I didn’t want to.

So I did a google search for “natural birth control herbs”

Here is what I found out… the headaches, muscle pain and hair loss where all caused by, you guessed it… the birth control pill. Didn’t really matter which one, they all have the same chemicals. Doctors know that women who take birth control long term will have these issues as well has cancer risks and problems conceiving or child birth defects. The blog post was from a women (not sure I could even find it now), who went and got her doctors degree in homeopathic for this very reason. She herself was a victim of long term birth control pill use. And she had discovered a natural birth control herb that was 100% effective, without side effects.

She herself took this herb prior to the time that she and her husband had decided to have a baby and she took it in between each pregnancy to give herself alittle time to heal and recoup.

It’s called… Bitter Melon

You may even know this name from it’s more commonly known usage, for blood sugar control. Diabetics often take this herb to help them naturally stabilize their blood sugar levels. What only a few know is… that it is a 100% effective all natural birth control as well.

So I followed her detox process. Immediately stopping the prescribed birth control pill, replacing it with 1 tablet of Bitter Melon each night and drinking detox tea for 30 days. She recommended during this time to be careful with intimacy, because there is a small chance during the detox process of pregnancy.

The headaches where the first to go, within days I didn’t have regular headaches anymore, it took alittle over 3 months before my muscles stopped aching constantly and the hair loss was back to normal within about a half of a year. I will say this though… my hair still won’t grow very long. Which is why I am buying this all natural hair growth shampoo. (I’ll do a full review of that later) But basically I get my hair cut once a year, it just doesn’t grow, I just get split ends. I have had the same hair length since I was fifteen, I get a few inches taken off when I go to get it cut, but it never grows past that.

The great thing about Bitter Melon, is that it’s all natural, meaning when you do want to try and conceive, just stop taking it. But that can also be the not so great thing, forget to take it and you may have a surprise package on the way!

I have consistently taken it since 2011, no side effects and no “surprise packages”.

Not all Bitter Melons are alike though, once I had to settle for another brand and I had to take more then my normal dose in order to get the right amount of mg my body was used to. Also I have heard that not all brands are of high quality or consistent concentration. So I have decided to stick with the brand that has worked great for me all these years. You can get it here. This is a picture of it as well.

It’s not organic, like I would prefer – however this brand is supported by organic health foods stores (which is where I originally bought it from). I’m sure I could try to switch to a organic brand, but frankly it isn’t worth the risk to me. I know this brand and dosage works – so I won’t be changing anytime soon. This is a 30 day supply, for $12. If you are used to taking 1 pill a night, then this is perfect because you can do exactly the same thing. I take 1 a night right before I go to bed, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Oh, one last thing… if you have been on birth control pills for a while – then your period will be alittle messed up when you detox and switch to Bitter Melon because now your body decides your schedule, not a pill. After a few months, you will know that shortly after you finish one bottle… Aunt Rosie will be paying you a visit.

P.S. After doing more recent research I found that systems are even worse then I had experienced and that some of the issues that I suffer from currently are a lingering result of my lengthly use of the birth control pill. So I felt it was important to list them here:

Other systems include, but are not limited to…

  • Heart Disease and Stroke
  • Blood Clots
  • Growth Of Fibroids
  • Hormonal Imbalance
  • Depression& Mood Swings
  • Infertility
  • Loss of Interest In Sex
  • Dark Skin Splotches
  • Nutritional Deficiency
  • Organ Failure
  • Vulvar Vestibulitis
  • Alter Your Natural Ability To Successfully Be Attracted To A Genetically Compatible Mate
  • **Update, recently on the radio I heard a woman speak that studies show that birth control pills at directly linked to breast cancer and a woman who has an abortion increases that risk.

There are alot more resources out there now, about natural birth control. Please note.. not all herbs are 100% so do your research before using an herb. Some just reduce your chances of getting pregnant and not ensure that you won’t. Bitter Melon is the only herb I know that is 100% guaranteed all natural birth control. And surprisingly it’s not mentioned in any of the other articles that I read for a natural herbal birth control. I wish I could find the original article that lead me to using Bitter Melon. Because I feel it was the best article on this topic. I will keep hunting for it and if I find it, I’ll add it later.

So I hope this helps you, feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments below. I generally reply within 24 hours (except on weekends). Or feel free to click on the birding with a note on the right hand side of my blog and send me an email directly!

P.P.S.. there are herbs that you can take for day after pills, however I do not believe in abortion in any form. So I will not share those.

  1. Hi Des,
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this. I am making the switch to this method
    immediately. I have 3 questions:
    – What is the detox tea you took for 30 days after going off birth control?
    – If I end up finding an organic brand, is the key to ensure it’s 500mg?
    – I am going to take these supplements: Vitex (regulates cycle since I was extremely irregular without the pill) and DIM (eliminates excess estrogen which is the reason I had to start taking pills int he first place when I was very young)… would this affect the 100% accuracy? (these are plant based supplements)

Thank you! Looking forward to your response
