All Natural Essential Oils Face Wash For Acne

over the counter acne products vs all natural

It seems once we hit puberty that the acne never really goes away. I’ll be 31 on May 30, 2017 and I still get acne on a regular basis. So I decided it was time to take my acne treatment seriously, because frankly I don’t want to have acne until… well, who knows when.

I started by using a blend of essential oils, which helped clear up the acne spots when I would get them.

My Essential Oils Anti-Acne Blend

  • 1 fl oz fractioned coconut oil
  • 3 drops of Frankincense oil
  • 3 drops of Clary Sage oil
  • 1 drop of Tea Tree oil
  • 3 drops Eucalyptus oil

Although it works for helping to clear up acne, I wanted to eliminate my acne troubles and not just heal it. My skin was firmer and I was getting less breakouts, but I felt I needed something more. Also, years of having chronic health issues had played a toll on my skin and it was started to age earlier then I would have liked.

I had previously used over the counter acne face washes like; St Ives, Aveeno, Clearasil, Neutrogrena, L’Oreal, ect. I tried the more “natural” store brands too like, Alba Botanica and Burt’s Bee cleansers. At one point I had even bought Proactive. The results where all the same… it seemed to work for awhile, when I stopped using it – my skin was worse then when I started.

My recent experience with St. Ives really scared me. I was developing these weird skin growths. Because I have an abundance of freckles and moles all over my body, I didn’t really pay much attention to them, until they started itching and falling off. Later I found an article talking about how these store bought products where giving people tumors… you can read about that here. So you can say, I stopped using that right quick.

The woman said that her grandmother had raised her washing her face with a baking soda/coconut oil paste and that she never had any acne breaks in her life!

That sounded pretty good to me, so I gave it a try. The first time I used it my skin felt so soft and looked radiant, but by the end of the day… pimples where all over my face.

I know that typically you will see an increase in acne occurrences before your skin clears up. But I found that this wasn’t the case with this, the acne was increasing even after having used it for several weeks.

I stopped using the baking soda/coconut oil blend and within a few days the acne cleared right up.  To test my suspensions, I tried the face wash once again…And this is the unhappy image of me  within 15 minutes after having washed my face with baking soda and coconut oil – as you can see my skin started to breakout, really bad!

Now I’m not saying that this would happen to everyone who tries this, but for my sensitive skin… I now know that I can’t use baking soda because it causes me to breakout.

natural acne face and body washShortly after  the above happened, I came across an all natural hair growth shampoo on Pinterest and when checking out the website I found that they also had skincare products. So I decided to try it, honestly it couldn’t hurt right?

It took a few days to get the product in the mail, it cost about $27 dollars for the bottle of liquid acne face and body wash. I started using it, fingers crossed that it would produce positive results.

I love that the ingredients are all natural and organic, the perfect collection of essential oils that fight to eliminate acne. All you need is a dab, about the size of a caper to wash you face with, it doesn’t suds up. It doesn’t have a strong scent and it washes off very easily – leaving your skin feeling clean and fresh. My skin even sparkled alittle (not joking) when I got out of the bath, but I did find that it felt tight and so I did have to use a moisturizer too.

After using it for about a week; my acne is pretty much gone, my skin is clearing up each day and has even started to look alittle more youthful!

I don’t mind the cost, because the little bit you use every day compared to the size of the bottle… will probably last me 3-6 months at least! I highly recommend giving it a try if you have been fighting with acne and want an all natural/organic way to stop your breakouts and get back your youthful glowing skin.
