When I saw this natural method for cleaning your pores and getting younger looking skin on Pinterest I knew I had to give it a try. My past 15 years of health issues has really played a toll on my skin. So I have been working hard at my anti aging process now that I’m better.
So this process is really quite simple to do, but I found a few things that you will need to be aware of that the article didn’t tell me. First I want to share why this works.

How To Do A Sparkling Water Facial
While it is simple to use it and just grabbing your face with sparkling mineral water should do the trick, to get the maximum benefits one should also consider your skin type and adopt a few variations such as these…
For normal, sensitive & dry – First fill up a bowl of sparkling mineral and dip your face in it while holding the breath for about 10 to 20 seconds. You should do this once a week.
For oily skin – Fill a bowl with sparkling mineral water sparkling mineral water soak your face for about 10 to 20 seconds. Do it just once a week and increase the frequency to three times a week.
My Experience and Suggestions
So yes, I did actually try this. I used the Signature brand of Italian Sparkling Water (pictured left). It only cost .79$ a bottle at Shaws. I found it to be impossible to actually submerge my face into the bowl, because it burned the inside of my nose, like ALOT. So I ended up holding the water in my hand and then holding it up against my skin all over my face. Not the best option, but the results were still incredible.
You can see by the picture here, there was this film residue on top of the water when I was done. I assume this was dirt, dead skin and other grim that was being taken off my skin. Washing my face with the sparkling water felt great, a few places where I had acne burned slightly at first, but then felt really good.
I’d love to try this in the bathtub and soak my whole body. As soon as my new bathroom is done with the renovations you can bet your bottom dollar, I’ll be doing a full body soak!
After I dried my face off… my skin felt younger, it even felt plump, super soft and my pores where tighter.
I didn’t actually wash my face before doing the sparkling water facial. I know you don’t have to, but I noticed that the facial didn’t clean as deeply as it would have it I had washed and exfoliated first. I’m going to do that next time, so I can clean out my pores even better.
You will also want to moisturize after with either coconut oil or frankincense. Frankincense is a natural anti aging essential oil. You could even mix the 2 for the ultimate finish. Alittle goes a long way, so just apply a dab in a cross over your face. Then massage thoroughly into your skin.
When massaging your face, go in a downward motion across your forehead… but use and upward and outward motion when massaging you cheeks and chin. This will give your skin a lift. 😉
