I’ve always had issues sleeping at night -wish I’d known about essential oils for sleep awhile back and I wouldn’t have missed so much needed rest. I’ve taken a range of sleeping aids, including Herbal Life’s Sleep aid – which does work. But I still have struggle with pretty bad sleep insomnia.
However I noticed that when I apply a few essential oils to my pillow at night… I’m out within 15 minutes and I wake feeling refreshed!
So I’ve put together together a list of essential oils for sleep apnea as well as a few essential oil diffuser recipes for sleep.
List Of Essential Oils For Sleep
- Roman Chamomile
- Clary sage
- Sweet Marjoram
Certain scents have different effect on different people, although in general the majority of the list above work for everyone. I have put together some essential oil diffuser recipes for sleep based on scent combinations. You can try any that appeal to your liking or buy a pre-blended mix like “Sweet Dreams“.
Here are a few sleep aid essential oil blends you can make up yourself. To create the blends below, use 3 drops of each essential oil, mix together in a empty essential oil bottle. Then either apply topically across the forehead, behind your ears and on the soles of your feet.
Another option is to take several whaffs directly out of the blended mix essential oil bottle.
Woodland Essential Oil Sleep Blend: If you like the smell of spruce trees and warm summertime, then you’ll like this blend.
Floral Tranquility Sweet Slumber Blend: For a more floral combination of soft sweet scents, try this blend.
Citrus Deep Sleep Blend: For the warm scents of summer that will hold you in a deep relaxed sleep, try this blend.
Out Like A Light Blend: For those with severe sleep apnea, try this “Out Like A Light” blend.
If you or anyone in your household has trouble snoring whilst they sleep add Valor Essential Oil to any of the blends above. If you don’t have Valor or can’t afford it (’cause it is super pricy) you can make it by combining the following essential oils…
